Coventry & Warwickshire CDA is delighted to be partnering with Socially Shared Business Network to host the next Get Social Networking event, bringing together social enterprises, charities, community organisations, co-operatives and purpose-led businesses from across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond.

Whether you’re already part of the social economy or simply interested in learning more, this friendly and welcoming event offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded people, share ideas, explore collaboration opportunities and discover the positive impact being created across our region.

This month’s guest speakers are Pippa Reeve and Karen Thomson, Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA) who will deliver a practical session entitled:

**Volunteers: Making The Most Of The Support Available And How To Access It**

As an infrastructure organisation, one of WCAVA’s main roles is to support volunteering, both in terms of people seeking volunteering opportunities and organisations needing help to recruit volunteers. They also support planning for volunteer involvement and helping with best practice. They achieve this in a variety of ways, including via online volunteer portal, attending numerous events, working with referral partners and providing opportunities for one-to-one support. They also work with businesses to find suitable volunteering opportunities for their staff.

In this talk, Pippa and Karen will provide more detail about some of these areas and how your organisations can get involved.
