Treasurer Wanted for Stockingford Community Centre

It is a thriving Community Centre  used by a wide  variety of different local charities, voluntary groups and small businesses.  From Little Pegs (a support group for parents of children with autism), Barnardos, community theatre, edible gardening, bowling, Craft and Chat to puppy training and birthday parties.

“We are looking for a new Treasurer to join the Committee of Trustees at a very exciting time in the life of SCC Centre .   SCC was previously run and funded by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council but since the 1^st July 2023 has been operating independently and is solely responsible for its income and expenditure.   We need someone who has experience of budgeting, bookkeeping and preparing annual accounts to work closely with the Chair and Centre Administrator in order to help  the Trustees run SCC as a new self-sustaining business.  The role of Treasurer is so important to us – not only do we need someone to keep us on track financially and keep us viable, but even more significantly, we are looking for someone to help us formulate our vision for the future.  The current Trustees are hugely committed to the Centre and have lots of ideas and plans for moving the Centre forward.  We need someone who will give us crucial financial guidance as we navigate this new phase in the Centre’s life.”
